Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about creating, sharing, and managing forms with FormDone.

About FormDone

What is FormDone?

FormDone is a platform for creating forms, publishing them through a link and QR code, receiving responses, and exporting results. It can be used for surveys, registrations, classes, visits, and other information-gathering processes.

Is FormDone free?

Yes. Available features are free for normal use. We apply technical security limits against spam, malicious automation, and excessive resource use, but no artificial commercial limits on forms or responses.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can create a temporary form without registering. An account is useful when you want access across devices, reusable templates, password recovery, and permanent form management.

Forms without registration

How long does a guest form remain active?

When creating it, you choose a duration of 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. Once that period ends, the form stops accepting new responses.

How do I manage a guest form again?

Administrative access is linked to a secure cookie in that browser. You must use the same browser and device. There is no code or password to keep.

What happens if I delete cookies or change devices?

You will lose administrative access and we cannot recover it because a guest form is not associated with an email address or account. Create an account if you need recoverable or cross-device access.

Can I export responses after expiration?

Yes. Guest administrative access remains available for seven additional days to review or export responses. It becomes invalid after that period, so download any information you need in time.

Creating and publishing

What question types can I add?

You can use text, number, email, phone, URL, date, selection, consent, scale, rating, NPS, ranking, Likert matrix, slider, and Like or Dislike fields. Titles, information, dividers, and sections help organize the form.

How do I get the link and QR code?

They are generated automatically when you publish the form. No second process is required. The link uses a random public identifier and never exposes the internal form identifier.

Can I schedule the start or expiration?

Yes. Publish immediately, set a start date and time, choose an expiration, or leave the form available until you close it manually. Availability is always verified by the server.

Can I edit a form that already has responses?

Yes. Saving changes after publication creates a new editable version. Previous responses remain linked to the exact version that was published when they were submitted.

Can I reuse a form structure?

With an account, you can save it as a template and create independent instances. Each instance gets its own dates, link, QR code, and responses.

Responses and exports

Do people need an account to respond?

No. Anyone with the link can respond while the form is available. The creator should only share the link with the intended audience.

Where can I review responses?

The form administration area shows submissions grouped by version and lets you filter them by date range. Guest forms are managed from the browser where they were created.

Which export formats are available?

Results can be exported as CSV or XLSX. Columns follow the published version, and composite values such as rankings and matrices use a readable format.

Privacy and security

Who can view responses?

Responses are only available in the authenticated creator administration area or the authorized guest browser. The public link allows people to respond but does not expose results.

Does a public link work like a password?

No. It is difficult to guess, but anyone who receives it can open or share it. For a limited audience, the creator must control distribution and close the form when its purpose ends.

Can I request personal or sensitive information?

Only request information that is necessary for a legitimate purpose. When required, explain who collects it, how it will be used, and obtain appropriate consent. Sensitive data and information about minors require stronger safeguards.

How do I delete my data?

Registered users can delete their account from Settings; this removes their forms, templates, and responses from the active database. A respondent should contact the form creator because that creator determined the collection purpose.
